José Muñoz is a professional photographer,
operating in the Phoenix metro area and
Arizona as "Photography By José L. Muñoz".
He photographs events including weddings,
anniversaries, baptisms, Quinceañeras,
cultural events, and also works with
various organizations (including the
Hispanic Women's Corporation, Valle del Sol,
Inc., and Arizona State University--Hispanic
Research Center) to photograph conventions,
luncheons, awards ceremonies, and
graduations.
José started his business, Photography By
José L. Muñoz, in 1985. Since then he
has photographed hundreds of weddings and
Quinceañeras. He has worked for
Cambio! Magazine, La Voz Newspaper,
Latino Perspectives Magazine, Latino Future
Magazine, Softball West Magazine (Sparks,
Nevada), and EFE News Service. José
has also had photos published in The Arizona
Republic Newspaper, Latina Style Magazine,
publications for the City of Phoenix and
Arizona State University, as well as in
books for individual authors.
José also worked for the Arizona-Mexico
Commission during the time that Governors
Symington and Hull were in office,
photographing the annual Border Governors’
Conference and other official events.
José attended schools in Eloy, Arizona and
graduated from Alhambra High School in
Phoenix. After graduation, José joined
the U.S. Air Force, with time served in
Colorado Springs, Colorado; Bangor, Maine;
and he was stationed in Ramstein, Germany
for two years. After service in the
Air Force, he attended Glendale Community
College and Phoenix College, studying
Photography at both schools, and graduated from Phoenix College. |
